T5W: Self-Published YA

Top 5 Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Lainey. You get a new topic every Wednesday, and you list your Top 5 books related to that topic. If you’d like to take part, join the Goodreads group, and add your name to the list of bloggers & booktubers!

As I’m not sure I’ve read enough self-published books to do a ‘Top 5 Self Published Books I’ve Read’ list, I’m going to be doing ‘Top 5 Self-Published Books I Want To Read’.

This sounds like a classic YA teen-meets-celebrity love story. But there’s nothing wrong with that (if it’s written well, of course)!

Surprisingly, Coleen Hoover is also a self-publishing author. A lot of her books are on my to-read list, including Hopeless. I’d love to explore the New Adult genre in more detail, and these certainly seem like a good place to start!

Another one I found quite surprising – If I stay & Where She Goes were self-published! These have been on my to-read since the movie came out.

To Kill a Mockingbird

Yep, it turns out some really well-known books were orignally self-published. Including this one!

The Body Electric

My last book is this one – from the New York Times Bestselling Author of Across The Universe, which is a very pretty book that my lovely friend Emma bought me for Christmas!
