Let’s Discuss! Goodreads

As a book blog owner and all round bookworm, Goodreads is a massive part of my bookish life.

But exactly how much do I use it?

Well…most days, really. I update it whenever I start, finish and am reading a new book, and I often use it to find new books to add to my to-read list.

But for this reason, Goodreads is dangerous.

In fact, most of my TBR comes from Goodreads, and due to that alone, sometimes I have to avoid it entirely.

But that’s so hard when it’s just so popular for bookworms! Not only does it have a great selection of editions, but also quotes and lists. Sometimes I can’t help but be tempted by a lovely cover or a new release.

How much do you use Goodreads? Does it tempt you to add new books to your TBR list/jar?

May your shelves forever overflow with books! ☽

  1. I get on Goodreads off and on all day, more often than not. If I’m not updating my current reads, I’m looking up a book description, or checking to see if something I’ve read is part of a series. Lately, I’ve been using it to find the original publication dates/publishers of books I’m reviewing on my blog. And yes… I inevitably end up checking recommendations and adding books to my already out of control TBR list.

What can I say? It’s hard to resist using a website when it’s one of the very best resources available for all things books and reading.

  2. I love Goodreads and I visit multiple times a day! I update my statuses appropriately and lurk to see what everyone else is reading and loving. I’m always on there looking at synopses and ratings of books. It would be a perfect website if it allowed half star ratings lol.
