T5W: Goals for 2017

Top 5 Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Lainey. You get a new topic every Wednesday, and you list your Top 5 books related to that topic. If you’d like to take part, join the Goodreads group, and add your name to the list of bloggers & booktubers!

I’m sure you’ve all realised my tiny mess up here. I posted only yesterday with my New Year’s resolutions and now I’m being asked to basically post the same thing? Oops.

But I’m still going to give it a go and post some bookish goals I’d like to complete this year!

  1. Read 50 booksImage result for reading gif50 is manageable, right? 50 is less than a book a week. I can do that…and it’s still a good amount!
  2. Read more classicshttps://38.media.tumblr.com/95ca0ec480b57d98bd69685e4444f92e/tumblr_nt5mhn0zbY1u38mzbo1_500.gif
I adore Jane Eyre, and I really want to explore more classics this year! I said I’d do it last year, but maybe this will be the time.
  3. Watch more movies!
I’ve actually never been much of a movie watcher, I’ve always read more books! But I want to make sure I watch more movie adaptations this year and review them on the blog and on my YouTube channel.
  4. Finally read Harry PotterImage result for harry potter gif
Yes, really. I have never read Harry Potter (sorry to all of you new readers who didn’t know this – I know I’m a disappointment to the community). But this year WILL be the year! I promise, guys!
  5. Read at least one manga/light novel series

Not only would I love to finish watching all of the Studio Ghibli movies that have ever been made – I would also like to venture further into the world of manga, anime and light novels. The only anime I’ve watched so far is series 1 of Sword Art Online, and frankly I adore it! So why not (as I’m sure they’re in my house somewhere…) read the manga and light novels this year?

Thanks for reading!

What are your bookish resolutions for 2017?

-Beth

May your shelves forever overflow with books! ☽

  1. I haven’t read Harry Potter either 😦 it’s like a dirty secret in the book community! If you like Jane Eyre you could give Wide Sargasso Sea a read if you haven’t already, it’s from Rochester’s first wife’s POV and is also a short classic – I haven’t read either book but I thought since you like Jane Eyre I’d recommend it to you 🙂
