Stacking the Shelves #25

Stacking the Shelves is a weekly meme hosted by Tynga where we share books we’ve bought this week. Find out more and join in here!

You may be wondering why this is the first Stacking the Shelves in around a month. Well, the simple answer is I actually haven’t bought any books! I know it’s hard to believe, but I’m serious. I received a few books over Christmas but this is the first time I’ve bought books this year! I’m also happy to blame this one on a 3 for £5 deal at The Works (a discount book/craft/stationary/toy store for those who aren’t British!).

This is the first book I spotted – one I’ve been looking for ever since it came out and I’d finished Red Queen!

I saw this one second – although I do own The Potion Diaries I haven’t got around to reading it yet. Let’s just hope I like #1 and want to carry on to this one now 😉

And to finish the deal, I just had to get this edition of The Perks of Being a Wallflower for just £1. I do have a gorgeous pink copy, but I saw this and couldn’t resist!

Thanks for reading! I’ll be back on Monday with a beautiful quote.

Have you bought any books this week?

-Beth

May your shelves forever overflow with books! ☽

  1. Oh, hey, Glass Sword! I keep getting emails about that! That and the final book in that trilogy that I can’t even remember the name of right now…
Nope, haven’t had the chance to go out and get more books. I might next week, though…?

      1. Oh, OK! Thanks for letting me know! 😛
What I do know is some new Veronica Roth thing is coming out on the 20th or 24th or something like that. How do I know this? Because my emails won’t shut up about it. Am I interested in it at all? No, I am not. -_-

      2. I actually got an email about King’s Cage just yesterday. It’s supposed to be coming out on February 7th. 😛
Yeah, the Veronica Roth thing looks like generic dystopian lit. Apparently there’s also some big controversy about it? o_O

      3. No problem! 😛
I looked it up and apparently it’s something about racism. Because people from different planets are described as looking different…? And there’s conflict between them…? o_O

      4. Yeeeeeeup. Seems like everything mildly “controversial” is a huge deal these days. Even when it’s not actually harmful and people just take it the wrong way…but I digress. 😛
