Stacking the Shelves #43

This month has made me an awful blogger! Since I’ve passed my driving test life has been crazy, with this week being the busiest and craziest yet. I had a 16 hour, 13 hour and 11 hour day, all in consecutive days. I’ve been living on about 4 hours sleep per night, been suffering with horrendous mood swings and some difficult times. Some of it has been fun, some of it has been insane, and some has been really hard.

Anyway, I should finally have some more time this week and I should be blogging most or every day again from now on.

I wasn’t planning on buying any books this week – but I do have a list of books I want to read before YALC at the end of July, and this is on it!

Pay close attention and you might solve this.
On Monday afternoon, five students at Bayview High walk into detention.
Bronwyn, the brain, is Yale-bound and never breaks a rule.
Addy, the beauty, is the picture-perfect homecoming princess.
Nate, the criminal, is already on probation for dealing.
Cooper, the athlete, is the all-star baseball pitcher.
And Simon, the outcast, is the creator of Bayview High’s notorious gossip app.
Only, Simon never makes it out of that classroom. Before the end of detention Simon’s dead. And according to investigators, his death wasn’t an accident. On Monday, he died. But on Tuesday, he’d planned to post juicy reveals about all four of his high-profile classmates, which makes all four of them suspects in his murder. Or are they the perfect patsies for a killer who’s still on the loose?
Everyone has secrets, right? What really matters is how far you would go to protect them.

So this book sounds downright awesome – and after I’ve finished The Last Summer of Us I’ll hopefully be diving into it in a couple of books time!

May your shelves forever overflow with books! ☽

  1. I loved this book! I thought McManus did a great job building and maintaining the mystery, and I also enjoyed the friendship that formed between these very different characters. I hope you love it and that you have a wonderful time at YALC.
