Hi bookworms! As you may have noticed, I haven’t been blogging as much recently, and my last post was now 5 days ago. Am I upset? Honestly, no.
This brings me on to today’s post, and I would like to talk about the healthy balance of life, hobbies, work and play. See, I am not disappointed in myself for not blogging. I’m also not reading quite as much, and I’m not disappointed about that either. Why, exactly?
Because at the moment, this is the right balance for me. I’m happy to acknowledge and accept that. Maybe I won’t be blogging every day, or even reading every day, but that’s fine. That’s kind of just how life works.
To give you guys a bit of insight (because I think you readers should know!), I’ve recently been going through a lot of changes in my life. None of these things are unnatural or out of the ordinary. I’ve been lucky enough to get together with my gorgeous boyfriend, I’m looking at applying to uni, I’m enjoying really great work experience at a publishing company and I have a lot of college stuff I’m working really hard on.
All of that takes up a lot of time, and my other time is taken up by eating, sleeping and occasionally picking up a book.
So what’s the point of this post? To tell you guys I’m not posting as much? Not really, because that will naturally just fluctuate. At the moment, I’m aiming for around 3 posts a week and that’s fine by me. No, the point of this post is actually to remind you all of this:
It’s okay to take a break. It’s okay to make sure you have the right balance in life. It’s okay to not put pressure on yourself.
May your shelves forever overflow with books! ☽
