It’s taking me a while to get through my current read, so I thought today I’d write instead a discussion post! I have a lot of bookish debates with my friends (hi Courtney), and today I’m going to be talking about buying books.
A lot of people have said I have too many books, I collect too many books, I can’t possibly buy any more books, and it goes on. To them, I say…
But I’m sorry. I will never stop. Partly because of my blog and my social media, I love being able to own and take photos of books I love and can’t wait to read! So here are a few tips for buying books.
- Second hand! If you can, buy second hand. I’ve saved so much money over the years by trawling through second hand shops and websites.
- Online. I mostly, always buy online and make sure I check a number of websites before buying
- Subscribe to newsletters from your favourite bookshops!
- Use loyalty cards! With every bookshop I shop at a lot, I use loyalty cards and manage to save a lot of money that way.
Which tips do you give for buying books?
May your shelves forever overflow with books! ☽
