Stacking the Shelves #58

Stacking the Shelves is a weekly meme hosted by Tynga where we share books we’ve bought this week. Find out more and join in here!

I haven’t posted one of these in almost a month, which is probably a good thing as it means I haven’t bought books recently. But after talking with my boyfriend about which Harry Potter books we wanted to add to our collection (see more here), I decided to do a little shopping.

After visiting a few supermarkets, I ended up with these:

Harry Potter and the Cursed Child - Parts One and Two (Harry Potter, #8)

It was always difficult being Harry Potter and it isn’t much easier now that he is an overworked employee of the Ministry of Magic, a husband and father of three school-age children.
While Harry grapples with a past that refuses to stay where it belongs, his youngest son Albus must struggle with the weight of a family legacy he never wanted. As past and present fuse ominously, both father and son learn the uncomfortable truth: sometimes, darkness comes from unexpected places.

When Magizoologist Newt Scamander arrives in New York, he intends his stay to be just a brief stopover. However, when his magical case is misplaced and some of Newt’s fantastic beasts escape, it spells trouble for everyone…

Both of these screenplays are ones I wanted to read soon and they look gorgeous sat on the shelf next to each other, both shining with gold!

Did you buy any books this week?
