Stacking the Shelves #72

Stacking the Shelves is a weekly meme hosted by Tynga where we share books we’ve bought this week. Find out more and join in here!

Hi everyone! This week I only bought one book – and honestly I feel like my book-buying has finally slowed a bit. That’s no bad thing – my physical TBR hasn’t decreased at all in the past year and it’s beginning to annoy me. So I’m really going to try my hardest to catch up on physical books to read instead and stop buying new ones!

Love speaks in flowers. Truth requires thorns.
Travel to a world of dark bargains struck by moonlight, of haunted towns and hungry woods, of talking beasts and gingerbread golems, where a young mermaid’s voice can summon deadly storms and where a river might do a lovestruck boy’s bidding but only for a terrible price.
Inspired by myth, fairy tale, and folklore, no. 1 New York Times-bestselling author Leigh Bardugo has crafted a deliciously atmospheric collection of short stories filled with betrayals, revenge, sacrifice, and love.
This collection of six stories includes three brand-new tales, all of them beautifully illustrated with art by Sara Kiplin that changes with each turn of the page, culminating in six stunning full-spread illustrations as rich in detail as the stories themselves.

The plus side of buying this book, is that it’s an edition of a book I’ve already read! Which means no additions to my physical TBR! I read this book recently and loved it, so when I saw this exclusive Fairyloot edition on eBay with red foiling, I knew I’d have to add it to my collection.

Did you buy any books this week?

May your shelves forever overflow with books! ☽
