March Wrap-Up and April TBR

March Wrap-Up and April TBR

Happy April! I can’t believe I only read 3 books in March, but I’m actually not too sad about it. In total I read almost 2500 pages and that’s still a huge amount! I also managed my first classic in a long time and got caught up with all Cassandra Clare books so both of those are massive achievements.

All of these are super close, but my favourite has to be East of Eden and I guess that makes my least favourite Lord of Shadows!

Books I Received in March

928 Miles from Home – Kim Slater
Flame in the Mist – Renee Ahdieh

Thank you to Chloe for these books! I’ve still been on a book-ban, but I should be done with it very soon so I’m sure April will be a busier month for me with buying books :p

Books I Want to Read in April

Dumplin’ – Julie Murphy
On the Come Up – Angie Thomas
Heartstopper – Alice Oseman

I’m definitely going to just read what I fancy reading, but I’d love to pick up these! I’ve already read all of Heartstopperonline, but when I get volume one in paperback I’d like to give it a re-read ūüôā

I didn’t buy any books this month as I’m still on a book ban, but my lovely friend Dani kindly gave me this book.

Books I Want to Read in March

Queen of Air and Darkness (#3) – Cassandra Clare
The Bane Chronicles – Cassandra Clare, Sarah Rees Brennan and Maureen Johnson

I definitely want to finish The¬†Dark¬†Artifices and The¬†Bane¬†Chronicles in March, and then I’m going to read whatever I feel like.

Welcome to my first Wrap-Up and TBR of the year! January isn’t exactly my favourite month of the year, but it’s been a successful reading month for me once again so I’m happy. Here’s the 6 books I read in the past month!

My least favourite book of the month was My True Love Gave to Me and my favourite was City of  Glass!

Books I Bought in January

Harry Potter Page to Screen – Bob McCabe
King of Scars – Leigh Bardugo

I’ve been on a book-buying ban since early December and it’s actually going really well! The Harry Potter¬†Page¬†to¬†Screen book was a Christmas present and King¬†of¬†Scars was a preorder from back in November – so I’m still sticking to the ban ūüėČ

Books I Want to Read in February

King of Scars – Leigh Bardugo
Tales of the Shadowhunter Academy – Cassandra Clare
Lady Midnight (#1) – Cassandra Clare
Lord of Shadows (#2) – Cassandra Clare
Queen of Air and Darkness (#3) – Cassandra Clare

I’m pretty serious about my February TBR as I’m meeting Cassandra Clare late in the month and I really want to read as many of her books as possible before then.

December Wrap-Up and January TBR

December Wrap-Up and January TBR

It’s 2019! Can you believe it? The past year went so quickly and we’re in January once again. I’m battling the January blues by reading The Mortal Instruments and an upcoming visit to the Harry Potter studios ūüėČ

Here’s the 7 books I read in December!

My least favourite book of the month was Genuine Fraud and my favourite was definitely Clockwork Princess!

Books I Bought in December

The Language of Thorns – Leigh Bardugo
Queen of Air and Darkness (Waterstones edition) – Cassandra Clare
Shadow and Bone – Leigh Bardugo
Queen of Air and Darkness – Cassandra Clare

I also received a few books for Christmas and I bought some for myself with a voucher! But I definitely spent less money on books, and I’m officially on a ban now.

Books I Want to Read in January

We’re back to where I was with Harry¬†Potter, because I just want to read as much of The¬†Mortal¬†Instruments as I can this month! If I keep up my 7 books a month, I will finish it…but I’m not so sure. Let’s see!

November Wrap-Up and December TBR

Hi lovely readers! It’s the start of December and I’m feeling so festive now. I’ve also been reading a lot – and I read 7 books in November! Honestly I can’t believe I’m managing to read so much at the moment but I’m not complaining.

My favourite book of the month was definitely The Language of Thorns, and my least favourite was Tales of Beedle the Bard. Funny that both of those are collections of short stories!

Books I Bought in November

The Infernal Devices boxed set – Cassandra Clare
What If It’s Us – Becky Albertalli and Adam Silvera
A Very Large Expanse of Sea – Tahereh Mafi
A Map of Days – Ransom Riggs
Crescendo – Becca Fitzpatrick
Silence – Becca Fitzpatrick

So as it happens, I may have bought a lot of books in November! But it seems to be slowing finally, which is good.

Books I Want to Read in December

Dash and Lily’s Book of Dares – Rachel Cohn and David Levithan

I didn’t read this in November in the end, purely because I didn’t feel that Christmassy! But now we have the Christmas tree up, I’m feeling ready to read a Christmas story. I’m going to start this book after¬†Genuine Fraud, which I’m reading now.

October Wrap-Up and November TBR

October Wrap-Up and November TBR

I read 7 books last month but it doesn’t feel like that many! I think I started off strong as my reading has been slow this past week or so. I’m hoping that as I’m carrying on reading standalones, I’ll still manage to read around this many books in November.

My favourite book this month was History is All You Left Me for sure! My least favourites were All the Crooked Saints and Where She Went.

Books I Bought in October

Gifted
Lord of Shadows collectors edition – Cassandra Clare
The Twisted Tree – Rachel Burge

Bought
City of Bones collectors edition – Cassandra Clare
Dumplin’ – Julie Murphy
Floored – Various Authors
Lord of Shadows – Cassandra Clare

I didn’t buy too many books this month and three of these were damaged/secondhand so that bought the price of them down so much!

Books I Want to Read in November

What if It’s Us – Becky Albertalli and Adam Silvera
Genuine Fraud – E. Lockhart
Dash and Lily’s Book of Dares – Rachel Cohn and David Levithan

I’m not going to plan too much for November, just these standalones to get through my physical TBR. I’ve decided to finally read¬†The Mortal Instruments¬†and¬†The Infernal Devices over Christmas, so I’m going to finish as many standalones as I can before then.

As for¬†Dash and Lily’s Book of Dares, I’m excited as I’m sure it will get me into the Christmas spirit! It’s interestingly the only series ever that I’m going to end up reading backwards, as I read the second book last Christmas.

September Wrap-Up and October TBR

September Wrap-Up and October TBR

I really surprised myself this month by reading 8 books! I didn’t set a goal at all for the month as I knew I’d be starting uni and probably busy, but I’m really happy I’ve managed to read 8. That’s 3 more than I read in August!

My favourite read of this month was Blue Lily, Lily Blue, and my least favourite was More Happy Than Not.

Books I Bought in September

Gifted
My Neighbor Totoro – Tsugiko Kubo
Life of Pi – Yann Martel

Bought
City of Ashes – Cassandra Clare
Hero of the Fall – Alwyn Hamilton
Unravel Me – Tahereh Mafi
More Happy Than Not – Adam Silvera
Songs About a Boy – Chris Russell
Hollow City – Ransom Riggs
A Storm of Swords: Blood and Gold – George R.R. Martin

I’ll admit I may have gone a little overboard this month…but I’m actually okay about it because 3 of these were secondhand and the other 4 were on sale or in deals. Off the top of my head, all 7 of these books cost just over ¬£25!

Books I Want to Read in October

History is All You Left Me – Adam Silvera
If I Stay – Gayle Forman
Where She Went – Gayle Forman

I’m meeting Adam Silvera at the end of the month so that’s the only book I definitely need to read! Otherwise, I’m just going to try and get through my physical TBR. Surprisingly, it is going down even with my bad book buying habits ūüėõ
