October Wrap-Up and November TBR

I read 7 books last month but it doesn’t feel like that many! I think I started off strong as my reading has been slow this past week or so. I’m hoping that as I’m carrying on reading standalones, I’ll still manage to read around this many books in November.

My favourite book this month was History is All You Left Me for sure! My least favourites were All the Crooked Saints and Where She Went.

Books I Bought in October

Gifted
Lord of Shadows collectors edition – Cassandra Clare
The Twisted Tree – Rachel Burge

Bought
City of Bones collectors edition – Cassandra Clare
Dumplin’ – Julie Murphy
Floored – Various Authors
Lord of Shadows – Cassandra Clare

I didn’t buy too many books this month and three of these were damaged/secondhand so that bought the price of them down so much!

Books I Want to Read in November

What if It’s Us – Becky Albertalli and Adam Silvera
Genuine Fraud – E. Lockhart
Dash and Lily’s Book of Dares – Rachel Cohn and David Levithan

I’m not going to plan too much for November, just these standalones to get through my physical TBR. I’ve decided to finally read The Mortal Instruments and The Infernal Devices over Christmas, so I’m going to finish as many standalones as I can before then.

As for Dash and Lily’s Book of Dares, I’m excited as I’m sure it will get me into the Christmas spirit! It’s interestingly the only series ever that I’m going to end up reading backwards, as I read the second book last Christmas.

September Wrap-Up and October TBR

I really surprised myself this month by reading 8 books! I didn’t set a goal at all for the month as I knew I’d be starting uni and probably busy, but I’m really happy I’ve managed to read 8. That’s 3 more than I read in August!

My favourite read of this month was Blue Lily, Lily Blue, and my least favourite was More Happy Than Not.

Books I Bought in September

Gifted
My Neighbor Totoro – Tsugiko Kubo
Life of Pi – Yann Martel

Bought
City of Ashes – Cassandra Clare
Hero of the Fall – Alwyn Hamilton
Unravel Me – Tahereh Mafi
More Happy Than Not – Adam Silvera
Songs About a Boy – Chris Russell
Hollow City – Ransom Riggs
A Storm of Swords: Blood and Gold – George R.R. Martin

I’ll admit I may have gone a little overboard this month…but I’m actually okay about it because 3 of these were secondhand and the other 4 were on sale or in deals. Off the top of my head, all 7 of these books cost just over £25!

Books I Want to Read in October

History is All You Left Me – Adam Silvera
If I Stay – Gayle Forman
Where She Went – Gayle Forman

I’m meeting Adam Silvera at the end of the month so that’s the only book I definitely need to read! Otherwise, I’m just going to try and get through my physical TBR. Surprisingly, it is going down even with my bad book buying habits 😛

August Wrap-Up and September TBR

I read 5 books in August, which isn’t too bad even though it’s less than the 9 I read in July! I’m actually pretty happy because I managed to finish A Court of Thorns and Roses and they are big books.

I’m not going to pick a favourite and least favourite for this month because I’m happy to say these were all 5 star reviews!

Books I Bought in August

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them – J.K. Rowling
Harry Potter and the Cursed Child – J.K. Rowling
Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (Ravenclaw Paperback) – J.K. Rowling

I’m very happy that I only bought these 3 books this month! That’s such a low amount for me and these were all on sale too.

Books I Want to Read in September

Blue Lily, Lily Blue – Maggie Stiefvater
The Raven King – Maggie Stiefvater

My only goal for September is to finish this series, which shouldn’t be too hard as I’m already almost halfway through Blue Lily, Lily Blue. I start my first year of university this month so I’m not going to push myself other than that and I’m going to mood read when I can!

July Wrap-Up and August TBR

I can’t believe I’m about to say this, but I read nine books in July! I knew I’d read a lot, but I didn’t expect it to be quite that much.

My favourite book of the month was My Life Next Door and my least favourite was definitely Call me by Your Name! You can see my reviews by clicking the links above.

Books I Bought in July

A Court of Frost and Starlight – Sarah J. Maas
The Smoke Thieves – Sally Green
Leah on the Offbeat – Becky Albertalli
Save the Date – Morgan Matson
Still Alice – Lisa Genova
My Best Friends Exorcism – Grady Hendrix

It might look like I bought a lot this month, but I actually bought all of these with a voucher. Which means I didn’t spend any of my money on books this month – yay!

Books I Want to Read in August

A Court of Wings and Ruin – Sarah J. Maas
A Court of Frost and Starlight – Sarah J. Maas

I’d definitely like to finish this series in August but other than that I’m definitely going to mood-read! I’m really trying to make use of summer the best I can and that means reading what I’d like to 🙂

June Wrap-Up and July TBR

Unbelievably, I read double the amount of books this month as I read in May! This is completely and utterly due to The Selection series, which is so easy and quick to read.

Although I loved the first three books in The Selection series, it wasn’t my favourite of the month. In fact, The Upside of Unrequited was my favourite read, and Obsidio was by far my least favourite!

Books I Bought in June

Catwoman: Soulstealer – Sarah J. Maas
A Storm of Swords – George R.R. Martin
A Feast for Crows – George R.R. Martin

I mean, I could have done better and not bought any books at all, but 3 books isn’t bad and two were second-hand!

Books I Want To Read in July

The Hate U Give – Angie Thomas
Call Me by Your Name – Andre Aciman

I wanted to read Call Me by Your Name in June, but I ended up reading The Selection instead! As college is fully over for me now, I’m excited to be able to have a lot more time on my hands and I hope I’ll be able to read even more in July.

May Wrap-Up and June TBR

After such a successful April, May has gone a little downhill. I only managed to read 3 books! But I’m trying not to be disappointed in myself – it was a really busy month for me and I’m hoping to pick up again in June.

The best book I read in May was definitely Crooked Kingdom, and my least favourite was The Last Place on Earth. But I have to say I did enjoy all of the books above!

Books I Bought in May

Obsidio – Amie Kaufman
Call Me by Your Name – Andre Aciman
Legendary – Stephanie Garber

Well I didn’t have so much self-control in May but I’m still happy with just 3 books – I could have done a lot worse!

Books I Want To Read in June

Call Me by Your Name – Andre Aciman

Again, I’d really like to catch up with my Goodreads goal this month, and I will hopefully make that happen in some way. Apart from Call Me by Your Name, I’m not going to put any other restrictions on myself. The best way to complete my goal is to read what I feel like at the time, so I’ll leave my list alone apart from that one.

April Wrap-Up and May TBR

This is possibly the first month ever when I’ve hit the goal I set myself the previous month, and I am so so happy! My aim was to reach to finish Harry Potter and I actually did – and managed to read a novella too.

Books I Bought in April

Great Expectations – Charles Dickens

I am also so happy to say I only bought one book in April – and it kind of doesn’t count because it was second hand…right? I was so close to my goal of buying no books at all, and just one second hand book is good enough for me.

Books I Want To Read in May

Crooked Kingdom – Leigh Bardugo
Obsidio – Amie Kaufman
Call Me By Your Name – Andre Aciman

I’d love to read at least 5 books this month, which should get me back on top of my Goodreads goal, but I won’t feel too bad if I don’t. May is already shaping up to be busy, so we’ll see what life throws at me first!
