Hello lovelies! All being well, I should be sunning myself in Greece right now. I’ve set up posts to queue this week, but I’ll hopefully still be online some of the time!

I thought I’d go with something summery with a twist for today’s Beautiful Quotes. How about a mystery set in gorgeous Italy?

Beautiful Quotes #125 / How To Be Bad

Beautiful Quotes is a weekly meme hosted by me, where I post some of my favourite quotes. Any other bloggers are welcome to join me in this and just link my blog!

Hi all! I’m back with another summery read today. I guess summer must be on my mind at the moment! The weather is definitely getting warmer in the UK, although April showers turned out to be abundant this year for us. I must also be thinking about summer because I go to Greece later this week! I’m super excited because it’s a new destination for both myself and my boyfriend and it looks so beautiful.

I’m gathering up books to take with me and I was thinking about summer road trip books! Here’s one I really enjoyed (and is also the book that made me want to visit the Epcot centre).

Beautiful Quotes #122 / A Court of Wings and Ruin

Beautiful Quotes is a weekly meme hosted by me, where I post some of my favourite quotes. Any other bloggers are welcome to join me in this and just link my blog!

Hello everyone! Today we’re welcoming a brand new month and the UK has definitely seen some warmer weather recently. I put my sunflowers outside today for some bright sunshine 🙂

Honestly, today has been a pretty awesome day for reasons I’m sure I’ll let you guys know about very soon! This news is keeping me busy (hence I’m struggling to sit down and design bookmarks at the moment), but it’s not stopping me reading or blogging! March wasn’t such a great month for the blog, and I definitely feel like I neglected it a little. However, part of that was definitely because it was taking me a while to get through such long books, and April is definitely going to be more fast-paced!

Neither me or Pete are going to be putting the blog at the forefront of our minds this month – unfortunately we both just can’t – and I feel okay about that. Other things need my focus right now and that’s fine, especially because it’s all good and exciting!

Today’s Beautiful Quote is from A Court of Wings and Ruin by Sarah J Maas. After reading East of Eden it’s been good to start The Bane Chronicles and get back into fantasy for sure!

Hi everyone! I’ve been thinking a lot about romance books with Valentine’s Day in the past week, and I thought I’d share one with you today.

The past week has been busy, not just with some lovely Valentine’s celebrations but also with my Etsy shop opening! I’m so excited about this, and if you haven’t checked it out yet you can do so here.

Anyway, onto today’s book! Everything Leads to You is one of my favourite LGBT books, and one of my favourite romances.

“We love films because they makes us feel something. They speak to our desires, which are never small. They allow us to escape and to dream and to gaze into the eyes that are impossibly beautiful and huge. They fill us with longing. But also. They tell us to remember; they remind us of life. Remember, they say, how much it hurts to have your heart broken.”

Beautiful Quotes #108 / The Twelve Days of Dash and Lily

Twelve Days of Christmas – Day 4

Beautiful Quotes is a weekly meme hosted by me, where I post some of my favourite quotes. Any other bloggers are welcome to join me in this and just link my blog!

Hello my lovely readers! I can’t believe that in exactly a weeks time it’ll be Christmas Eve! What a lovely thought. I’m definitely feeling more festive now I have a break from uni, and I’m spending the next week preparing and baking before the big day. But what have I been up to this past week?

  • As I mentioned above, I finished uni! My last week before Christmas was a very busy and stressful one, so I’m very glad to have a rest.
  • I saw my lovely friend and co-blogger Pete on Saturday and I took him to my favourite bookshop for the first time.
  • I took my other half Josh up to Manchester to see the Christmas market there! I love it more than our local market and it was lovely to show him the city.
  • On a reading front, I have finally finally started The Infernal Devices! I’ve almost finished the first book and I’m loving it.

Now onto a very different kind of story with The Twelve Days of Dash and Lily! I read this book last Christmas and it definitely made me feel festive.

Beautiful Quotes #103 / I’ll Give You the Sun

Beautiful Quotes is a weekly meme hosted by me, where I post some of my favourite quotes. Any other bloggers are welcome to join me in this and just link my blog!

Hi everyone! So what’s happened in the past week?

  • Last Monday I visited the lovely city of Manchester and I saw Ransom Riggs in conversation and attended his signing! It was so cool to meet him.
  • Christmas is getting closer and closer, so I’ve been planning and buying presents and we’ve eaten our first mince pies (if you haven’t heard of these, don’t worry they don’t have meat in!).
  • I’ve also been at uni as usual and carrying on with planning my second module.

On the blog front, this week I posted my first section of my shelves masterlist, and published a brand new page! Today I’m back with a Beautiful Quote from I’ll Give You the Sun, a book that I’ve actually not posted a quote from before. I read it before I started this blog, and I definitely need to re-read it and post a review at some point!

Beautiful Quotes #89 / A Court of Mist and Fury

Beautiful Quotes is a weekly meme hosted by me, where I post some of my favourite quotes. Any other bloggers are welcome to join me in this and just link my blog!

Hello beautiful people! My life has gone slightly Sarah J.Maas mad at the moment, with the arrival of Catwoman today and as I’m currently reading this book. I read A Court of Thorns and Roses a longgg time ago and it’s taken me over two years to finally pick this series back up!

I’m actually enjoying it more than the first book, maybe because I’m much more of a fantasy reader now. Review coming later this week!
